A Space Where Your Teen Can Be Understood
TEEN THERAPY IN DALLAS AND VIRTUALLY THROUGHOUT TEXAS
Your teen is carrying more than they’re saying out loud, and finding the right person for them to say it to matters.
I work with teens navigating anxiety, family expectations, and the pressure to perform academically, socially, or within their family and culture.
Together, we build a space where your teen feels heard, not judged, and where you, as a parent, stay informed without your teen feeling exposed.
You can expect your teen to build real coping skills and a stronger sense of who they are.
Your teen might recognize this:
Feeling like nothing they do is ever quite enough
Pressure to succeed academically while also “fitting in”
Struggling to talk to family about what they’re really feeling
Big emotions with no safe place to put them
How I Can Help
Teen therapy gives your teen a space that’s truly theirs. Together, we look at the pressure they’re carrying whether it’s academic, social, or from family and culture and explore what’s underneath the stress or big emotions.
As we work through practical coping skills, your teen will build tools to manage what they’re feeling and communicate more clearly with the people around them.
Over time, your teen will build a steadier sense of who they are without feeling like they have to perform for anyone, including you.

Yes, I have specific experience working with South Asian teens and young adults navigating family expectations, cultural identity, and the pressure to balance two worlds. I also work with teens from all cultural backgrounds facing similar pressures.
-
Parents aren't in every session, but staying involved matters. A parent or guardian joins the last 10 minutes of each session for a brief check-in, so you stay informed while your teen keeps privacy for the rest of the session.
-
This is really common, and it's okay. A lot of teens come in guarded and warm up once they realize they won't be judged or lectured. I focus on building trust first, and therapy doesn't work if it feels forced.
-
The first session includes about 20 minutes with a parent or guardian present, so we can go over what's brought you in and answer any questions. From there, your teen and I will spend time getting to know each other — there's no pressure to share everything right away.
Before starting, I'll also ask you to provide any custody agreements, divorce decrees, or other relevant legal documents, so I can confirm which parent or guardian is authorized to consent to treatment.
-
Confidentiality is a core part of building trust with your teen; it's what allows them to actually open up. I don't share session details, but a parent or guardian joins the last 10 minutes of each session for a brief check-in, so you stay informed on general progress and themes without your teen feeling exposed. I'll also loop you in directly on any safety concerns.
-
Yes, I provide affirming, judgment-free care for LGBTQIA+ teens and their identities.

Teen therapy gives your teen their own confidential space to work through anxiety, stress, identity, friendships, or whatever feels heavy right now. A parent or guardian joins for the first part of the first session and for a brief check-in at the end of each session after that, so you stay informed while your teen's trust is protected.
Family therapy brings the whole family, or he members who are part of the concern, together to work on communication, conflict, and the patterns between you. If your teen is struggling mostly on their own, teen therapy is often the best place to start. If the tension shows up mostly at home or between family members, family therapy may be a better fit. Both are available in person in Dallas, TX, and through telehealth across Texas.
